Do you service other makes of engine? - Yes - for example Volvo. Our engineering skills provide a cost effective solution to most applications.

How does your 24 hour call out operate? - We can be contacted at all times using one telephone number: 01473 832 833 which is our office number. Outside normal working hours an auto-attendant gives you the choice of leaving a message, or for urgent calls, contacting an appointed duty engineer. If you wish to speak to the duty engineer you will be automatically connected to his mobile telephone.

How much does a call out cost? - A charge of £50 applies, £70 for public holidays. This is in addition to our normal labour, travel rates and parts.

What are 'special offers'? - Just that. They are usually used or refurbished items of plant and machinery, engine, generators, parts surplus to our requirements or even items sold on behalf of our customers.

 

E-commerce:

How does your e-commerce work? - Rand has a dedicated secure e-commerce web site. It can be reached independently or from this site. It is directly linked to our business accounts system - meaning that stock items, sales order processing and sales ledger information is automatically updated between our e-commerce site and our company business accounting systems.

What can I buy on your e-commerce site? - Most common filters for engines and transmissions are currently available online, as well as parts we regularly sell through conventional channels. Banner batteries are also available to UK customers. Any item you wish to buy from Rand can be published easily at your request - just contact us.

Can you tell me what parts I need? - Yes. We have an experienced parts interpretation service to help you specify which parts you need. Providing make, model and serial number makes identification easier.

Can any of my requirements be purchased online? - Yes, if they are not already available, simply arrange with us the items you require and we will publish them for you to purchase online.

Is it secure? - Yes. The site is secure and acknowledgement emails do not carry confidential information. Our accounts connection is also isolated from the internet.

Who can use it? - New and existing customers. We export to approved countries throughout the world and accept banker's transfer, Visa, Mastercard and American Express payment. Delivery and packing charges are at cost. Existing customers are able to login and view their trade account order status and sales statement, updated when there are changes, usually daily. Any discount arrangements are automatically applied to published prices.
