Rand has an
experienced and qualified fluid and electrical engineering projects
team, capable of developing solutions for a wide variety of industrial
requirements.
One of our strengths
is the ability of our Engineering Services team to support our
diesel
engineering in
the design and installation of diesel engined pumps and generators.
Support includes all the electrical control systems, fuel storage,
transfer and bunded pipelines.
Rand is a founder
member of NICEIC - the National Inspection Council for Electrical
Installation Contracting and registered with CORGI - the Council
Of Registered Gas Installers.
Scope of
work - examples
of work undertaken are shown in our projects page, with pictures, falling broadly into two
areas:
Electrical
Engineering
- Design and build of Motor
Control Centres (MCCs) to IEE regulations and customer requirements,
which includes provision of PID drawings, automation specifications
and software.
- Panels frequently include
PLCs, HMIs, electronic variable speed drives and instrumentation.
- Site wiring installations
conforming to NICEIC guidelines including inspections and testing.
- Industrial lighting systems
and switchgear maintenance.
- CAD designed drawings
with full documentation and manuals.

Fluid Engineering
- Design, supply installation
of boiler and treatment plant, clean water and effluent pumping
plant, borehole submersible pumps together with all associated
pipework and controls.
- Pipework installation
in all materials, both above and below ground, for most fluids
such as steam, natural gas, chemicals and oil.
- Specialists in bunding
of fuel and chemical pipeline systems to avoid contamination
of surroundings.
- Sole UK agents for Valmont
centre pivot and linear move irrigation equipment.
- Light/medium steel and
stainless steel ducting and spouting.
